Unlock the till

The till knows who books every order. Each person unlocks it with their own PIN.

Who can do this: everyone in the team with a till PIN.

Unlock

1. The till shows Enter your PIN.
2. Type your PIN on the number pad and tap Unlock.
3. The top of the till shows the device name and your name.

Lock when you leave

Tap Sign out at the top. The till goes back to Enter your PIN. The next person unlocks it with their own PIN.

Caution

Don’t leave the till unlocked for someone else. Every order is booked under the name shown at the top, and the statistics count it for that person.

Wrong PIN

After 5 wrong PINs the device is locked for 5 minutes, and the event appears in the outlet’s audit log. The till shows how long it stays locked. Wait, then try again with the right PIN.

Forgot your PIN? Ask an owner to set a new one. Managers can also set their own under Settings → Tills.

If something goes wrong

What you see	What to do
Till locked after too many wrong PINs	Wait the time shown, then try again.
Someone in your bar already uses this PIN (when setting a PIN)	Choose another PIN.
The till suddenly asks for the PIN again	Someone tapped Sign out, or you were removed from the team. Unlock again, or ask the owner.
