Your first night
Plan about an hour for the setup, best on a quiet afternoon. You need a PC or tablet for the back office, a phone, the tablet for the till and the TVs.
Who does this: the owner, or a manager for most steps.
Checklist
Section titled “Checklist”- Check the outlet details. Under Settings → Outlet: name, city and when your business day ends. The city sets the currency and the clock. → Outlet
- Add your drinks. One by one or from a spreadsheet. For each drink set a minimum, base and maximum price. → Add and edit drinks, Price band, Import and export
- Add your team. Managers and bartenders, with email or only with a till PIN. → Add people
- Register the till. Sign in on the tablet at the bar and register it under Settings → Tills. → Set up a till
- Pair the TVs. → Pair a TV
- Make the board yours. Logo, colours, what the board shows. → The look of the board
- Practise. Turn on training mode for a few minutes: simulated guests move the prices and drinks crash in turn, without booking any sales. Show it to your staff, then turn it off. → Training mode
- Plan the crashes. Tick Auto crash on the drinks that may crash automatically, or plan crashes at fixed times. → Automatic crashes, Plan a crash
- Open the market when the night starts. → Open and close the market
On the night
Section titled “On the night”- Tell your guests how it works: a sentence on the board helps, for example as a banner or slide. → Info and slides
- Start a crash by hand when the bar is quiet. → Crash now
- At closing time, close the market. All prices go back to base.
The day after
Section titled “The day after”Look at Statistics: revenue, drinks sold, and how much the crashes moved.
