Add and edit drinks

Drinks in the back office is your menu: every drink with its live price, its price band and two switches.

Who can do this: owners and managers.

  1. Open Drinks and click + New drink.
  2. Fill in:
    • Name, as guests should see it on the board.
    • Category, for example Beer or Cocktails. The board can show category headings, and screens can show only some categories.
    • Price: Min (floor), Base and Max. See Price band.
    • Sensitivity: how strongly sales move the price. 0.5 calm, 1 normal, 1.5 lively.
    • Picture: one of the built-in pictures, your own, or none. See Drink pictures.
  3. Leave Active – on the board and the till ticked if the drink is on sale tonight.
  4. Tick Takes part in automatic crashes if this drink may crash on its own. See Automatic crashes.
  5. Click Add drink.

Many drinks at once are quicker from a spreadsheet: Import and export.

Click the drink’s name or ✎. The edit panel opens on the side. Change what you need and click Save. The board and the till follow at once.

The panel also shows how many were Sold tonight, the price Now and the Base price.

Each row has two switches:

  • Live: the drink is on the board and the till. Switch it off when you run out.
  • Auto: the drink takes part in automatic crashes.
  • Order: drag a row by ⠿ to move it. The board and the till use the same order.
  • Search: type in Search drinks to filter the list.
  • Categories: the buttons above the list (All and one per category) show only that category.

Tick the box at the start of each row you want to change. A bar appears with: Activate, Deactivate, Auto crash on, Auto crash off, Set category…, Remove and ⚡ Crash selection. ✕ clears the selection.

In the edit panel click Remove, or use ⋯ → Remove in the row.

  • A drink that was never sold is deleted.
  • A drink with sales is archived: it disappears from the list, the board and the till, but stays in the statistics.

If you only run out for the night, switch Live off instead.

⋯ → Reset prices to base at the top puts all prices back to base and clears the demand. Drinks in a running crash keep their crash price until it ends.
